This was just hilarious. Apparently, we’ve completely commercialized space with fast food restaurants, chain coffee shops, and gas stations.

Not only is the design very well-made, I think it was well thought-out about the future of space exploration and our tendency to exploit everything into commercial opportunities.

This design is another good example of Space: The Final Frontier.  The Leaning Tower of Pisa would make an excellent photoshoot for any postcard to send home.

This weeks challenge is with a theme near and dear to my heart.  Space:  The Final Frontier.  Star Trek comes to mind of course, but anything space is perfect.  Do you have animals in space, Monkey Pilots, distant planets or some great astronomy ideas.  I’m really looking forward to see all the great Space:  The Final Frontier themed designs.

Get out there and explore the outer reaches of your minds and come up with some great designs.

To help with the creativity I’ll be adding some existing Space:  The Final Frontier themed designs throughout the week.

I had a feeling dogs had hobbies when we weren’t at home. And they wouldn’t let a little thing like the lack of opposable thumbs stop them from taking up painting if they wanted to. And really, they get sick of looking at the same old scenery just like anybody else!

All of the entries were cute and smile worthy! Lovesick Turtles, Skiing birds, diving dogs, laundry cats and birds with Einstein leanings. You can’t ask for a more diverse group.

Ever since I saw the Far Side Cartoon where Gary Larson pondered what dogs were saying and all they were saying was “Hey!”, I get a chuckle out of “what pets are thinking/saying” ideas. This design seemed to capture that pretty well from a cat point of view.
