cpHighlight is a wordpress plugin /wordpress widget for the Cafepress shopkeeper or Cafepress affiliate. It works with Commission Junction to create the links you need to sell t-shirts and gifts. It helps you to focus on delivering unique content rather then spening all your time pasting in forms and images. You can either tell it to add in the affiliation code or to just straight link into a Cafepress store.
Requirements
cpHighlight requires that your service provider and server support PHP5.
Download
You can download the latest version of the cpHighlight plugin Here. It is still in beta but has been kicked around a few times.
Installation
cpHighlight installs just like any other wordpress plugin. Upload it to the plugin directory and activate it. Once the plugin is activated you need to go to your plugin Settings tab and enter in your information. You will need to supply your Cafepress API key. If you are an affiliate you can add your CJ key, id, and some tracking codes. Click me for Example of the Setting Tab
Future Release Features (no date set)
- An option to track your users clicks and report on them.
- Allow multiple products in the same post
- I’m always open to suggestions…just email me.
NOTE:
Please make sure the cpitem code is the very first thing in your blog entry followed by your text. I’ll have that slight bug fixed up in a future release.
Usage
You must be in the Visual mode of the editor when you enter in your information. Once you have saved you can switch back to the HTML version. I’m working on a fix for this but for now, stick to the Visual mode when you first save your post.
Options
Admin Options
Are you an Affiliate? - Answer yes or no. No will remove all affiliate link code.
Enter your pid. Only required if you are an affiliate. Get yours from Commission Junction.
Enter your xid. It is wise to enter in your Cafepress xid incase you ever highlight you own products.
Enter your sid. Enter in something unique to help you track your Commission Junction earnings.
API Key. Gives you the link of where to get your API key. Just paste it in here.
Show Price. You can decide if you want to show the price or not.
Have Hover Code. If you have the hover code on the product will switch to the product design image when the mouse goes over it. Hard to read designs on a product are made easier to see.
Post Options
<cpitem></cpitem> - Use to obtain the cpitem. The item will appear on your next save. NOTE: There is a bug that will not read the item correctly if there are spaces on either side of the number. Make sure the number is snug up against the ‘>’ and ‘<’
<override></override> - Use to write a new ’shopkeeper description’. Great if the shopkeeper has no description or links in their description. cpHighlight does remove all html tags from the shopkeepers description just in case but the webaddress will remain.
<store>Yes</store> - Use to change the links to be sent to the product’s store instead of the Cafepress Marketplace. This tag can go anywhere in your post body as long as it is not between the other two tags.

How you can Help.
Please send me your feedback. You can use the contact me page in this blog. I want to hear how it is working, if it is not, what sites you are putting it on and what features you would like to see.
FAQ
Is it free?
Yup, it is completely free. All I ask is that you leave the powered by cpHighlight link in there. It will only show once per page in your blog and not in your feeds. It should display in your footer but some Wordpress themes have messed up the code and it may appear in your sidebar.
How do I change the colors scheme?
Yes. You can edit the css file in the css directory under the plugin.
What if I’m not an affiliate but want to blog about my products?
You can set the option to not include affiliate links. All of your visitors will then be sent to the marketplace. You can send them to your shop by adding the <shop>Yes</shop> tag. If you want to make more money, become an affiliate as any other purchases your visitors may make will make you money too.
Can I display more than 1 item in a post?
Yes, but with bad results. I’m working on having multiple items per post.
Can I override a products description?
Yes. Simply add the <override></override> tags immediately following the cpitem tag. Place your new content between the two tags.
Can I send visitors to a shop or marketplace?
Both! By deault cpHighlight sends your visitors to the marketplace to make their purchase. You can send the visitor to the product’s shop page instead if you wish. Just add in a <store>Yes</store> tag to your post and the links will point to the shop. This is a very handy feature if you want to ensure that you or your friends get their Cafepress Volume bonuses.
Can I get cpHighlight customized just for me?
Sure. Use the Contact Us page to email me a request.
